7.2.4  CANARY SCHEDULE    Replaces CANARY RATE (D117.1). The PROBE rate
by tenure, counted in work blocks landed under the current
      certificate: blocks 1-100, 1 in 5; blocks 101-1000, 1 in 10;
blocks 1001 and later, 1 in 20 by default, with bursts at 1 in
5 or 1 in 10 at even odds, duration U{50..200} blocks, gap
U{200..500} blocks from the end of one burst to the start of the
next, bursts after block 1000 only. The law is public; TPX's
tier, burst and clock draws are not (5.3.23). Read as the PROBE
rate, parrots inside it (5.17.12, 5.17.13). Canary-only figures
per tier: latency to the first canary 5 / 10 / 20 blocks, hold
      11 / 21 / 41 (with bursts 16 and 49); under the probe reading
      with PARROT RATIO, 6.7 / 13.3 / 26.7 and 14 / 28 / 54 (figures
computed in the issuing threads; VERIFY). CANARY RATE, one probe
per five work blocks, declared 2026-09-13, is superseded.

7.2.5  TMS parameters (STEP CONVENTION, S_MAX, k, N_x, PROMOTION_FLOOR,
IC2_POLICY, STRUCTURE_CHECK, local yardsticks) are per container

7.2.7  SEQUENTIAL TEST. The fleet-level test of 5.18.2 and 5.18.9 runs
      at alpha = 0.10 and beta = 0.01, testing between H0 p = 0.99
and H1 p = 0.95 over the removal rate. Fleet level only; no
account-level test exists under binary scoring (5.18.9).

      [I-144] [I-146] [D84.1]
7.2.8  THE PAGE TREE IS VERSION-AGNOSTIC. No version number appears in
the title of a page of this artifact. A revision edits the
existing tree in place; it does not spawn a new one. The
version a page carries is stated in its display title, its
header string and in 0.1, never in its title. Those live in the
page text, so an old revision displays the version it was.
      [I-155] [D54]
7.2.9  GROUND FOR 7.2.8. With a version-free title a page's revision
history IS its version history, which is what the platform
provides and what 1.3 declares the wiki to be for. A versioned
title builds a second and worse version-management system
beside the platform's own and fragments each version's history
into its own tree. A rename costs no history: the platform
moves a page's whole history to the new title and leaves a
redirect. What loses live history is a delete followed by a
reimport, which is therefore not how this artifact's tree is
      ever restructured. [I-156] [D55]
7.2.10 An earlier version of a page is read from that page's history.
There is no separate tree to browse, and the contents page and
the hub say so (see 5.15). [I-156] [D55]
7.2.11 GRADIENT ARMS, INTERVALS AND WEIGHTS. Replace THETA INTERVAL
(D116.2). Interim values, replaced at the refit once three or
more UWCs carry records, the refit a revision of TPS: STEEP
      theta_1 ~ Uniform[3.0, 4.0]; SHALLOW theta_2 ~ Uniform[1.0,
2.0], gapped from steep by (2.0, 3.0) so the arms stay
distinguishable in the strata; HYPERBOLIC kappa ~ Uniform[2.0,
      4.0], alpha ~ Uniform[1.5, 3.0]; every endpoint strictly
interior; ARM WEIGHTS fixed at 1/3 each (5.17.6, 5.17.8). The
single arm theta ~ Uniform[2.0, 4.0] of D61.1 is superseded.
      [I-144] [D61.1] [D116.2]
7.2.12 ARM CLOCKS. Replace ROTATION (D116.2). Three independent clocks,
each ending with probability 0.10 per probe that arm delivered,
so each epoch length is Geometric with mean 10 probes of that
arm; counted over probes, not wall-clock time (5.17.7). D62.1's
      single clock is superseded. [I-144] [D62.1] [D116.2]
7.2.13 SCORECARD CADENCE. An exception check every week: the scorecard
is sent when an exception is found, and a heartbeat otherwise. A
full report every month regardless (5.18.5). [I-146] [D63.1]
7.2.14 RECIPIENTS. The failure alert goes to the declaring authority
with the human operator copied; the periodic scorecard goes to
the human operator with the declaring authority copied. Each
role's account binding is published on the control panel
      (5.18.8). [I-146] [D64.1]
7.2.15 ALERT CHANNEL. The primary is SMTP carrying a pointer only. A
secondary channel is required: content-free, out of band and not
      wiki-native; a wiki-native notification is in-band and is
      disqualified (5.18.3). SECONDARY, declared 2026-09-24 (D109.1):
a dead-man's switch, Healthchecks.io [VERIFY], one check "TPM
alert", period one week, grace one day, as 5.18.12 states, its
fail URL also pinged on an EXTERNAL READING of the host limiting
the site and on an integrity mismatch (D133.1, D139.1); a second
check "TPM panel" for W2's liveness (5.3.29). The host
      test is owed before reliance. [I-146] [D65.1] [D109.1] [D125.2]
7.2.16 REVIEW POINT. When 200 probes have been delivered fleet-wide,
the gradient arms' intervals, weights and clocks (marginals by
arm, about 67 per arm), the CANARY SCHEDULE and the sequential
      test's hypotheses are revisited. [I-144] [D66.1] [D116.2]
      [D117.1]
7.2.17 LOOKBACK PASSES    2 (D111.1), declared 2026-09-23. After a
failed canary the hold reaches back to the account's second most
recent passed canary, block inclusive; with fewer passes, to its
first block after admission. Counted in passes, not blocks, so
      the rule keeps its meaning at every tier of the CANARY SCHEDULE;
canaries only, a passed parrot no anchor (CR6, 5.14.3, 5.17.15).
      A value below 1 is refused. [D111.1] [D117.1] [D120.1]
7.2.18 THE PARROT DESIGN'S DECLARED VALUES (D118.1-D120.1, D126.1),
      declared 2026-09-24:
      PARROT RATIO        k parrots per canary, k : 1; k drawn per
epoch of U{50..100} work blocks from {1/2,
                          1/3, 1/5, 1/7} with weights 0.30 / 0.50 /
0.15 / 0.05; expected parrot share of probes
0.26; consistency parrots inside the share
                          (5.17.13).
PROBE RATE          The CANARY SCHEDULE read as the rate of
probes, parrots inside the budget (5.17.12).
RESET RULE          1 in 5 per account, on the reproducer, after
a non-corroboration; ends by state: YELLOW at
the next canary pass, ORANGE after ORANGE
                          PASSES consecutive canary passes (5.17.14).
HOLD ANCHOR        Canaries only; LOOKBACK PASSES unchanged.
COMMUNITY PARROTS  Fleet default ACCEPT; per UWC a tuning
                          option (5.16.11).
AUDIT TRIGGER      Fleet default AUTOMATIC; per UWC, selected at
the new-UWC form and declared in UWC STATE
                          (5.16.11).
GOOD STANDING      Certificate current, D(IS) matching, state
                          GREEN, no reset in force, not SUSPENDED;
VOLUNTEER TIER may narrow it (5.9.14).
VOLUNTEER LAW      Its shape: WORK / NO WORK and probe /
legitimate are Bernoulli draws per call; p_v
is drawn per Geometric epoch from an interior
interval; a token bucket on the call,
full-jitter backoff on NO WORK, a random
                          early throttle on INTAKE (5.9.16).
7.2.19 THE RELIABILITY AND IDENTITY DECLARED VALUES (D122.1, D123.1,
      D124.1, D127.1, D128.2a), declared 2026-09-24:

7.2.25 THE BIBLIOGRAPHY DECLARED VALUES (D170.1, D171.1, D173.1), taken by
delegation 2026-09-26 under the user's instruction of that day:
      BIBLIOGRAPHY SETTING
Per UWC, OFF | ON | CLOSED, selected at the
new-UWC form and declared in UWC STATE; the
                          default OFF (5.21.1).
BIBLIO VOLUME SIZE  5 entries per BIBLIOGRAPHY VOLUME, for every
UWC, never varied; VOLUME SIZE unchanged
                          (5.21.22).
ENTRY CAPS          Code points after NFC: title 1,000; every other
text 500; each name part 200; URL 2,000; at
most 100 names per role; at most one identifier
                          per kind (5.21.7).
These values live in TPS and in the implementation's declared
parameters alike; changing any is a revision of both (7.2.6).
      [D170.1] [D171.1] [D173.1]
7.2.26 DECLARATIONS OUTSIDE D(IS), ADDED (D172.1). On the DECLARATIONS page,
H-DECL's, not declared parameters and not in this artifact: the
REGISTRY DECLARATIONS, each in the form of 5.21.14, the starting six
being the DOI system's agency lookup, Crossref's works endpoint,
DataCite's dois endpoint, the arXiv API, PubMed's E-utilities summary
and the PMC identifier converter; and the FK-20 FALCON KIND
DECLARATION of 5.21.17; before TPX, recorded in the foundations
record (5.6.14). The templates' text is named there alone. [D172.1]
7.2.27 TUNING OPTIONS ADDED (D171.1, D172.1), H-OP's, as starting values
under 7.2.20, each an ESTIMATE tuned in the sandboxes, every
wall-clock value so marked: BIBLIO ENTRY MAX 16,384 bytes of an
      entry's canonical serialization; BIBLIO RECHECK 30 days (wall-clock);

declaration, not tuning options. [D171.1] [D172.1]
7.2.28 THE LOCAL PROMPT DECLARED VALUES (D182.1), declared by the user's
      selection D189.1 of 2026-09-26:
SPONSOR ZONE CAP    8,000 code points after NFC (ESTIMATE)
                          (5.14.5, 5.4.16).
CONFORMANCE RATE    1 in 50 work blocks, drawn per block, on top
of the CANARY SCHEDULE and outside its budget
                          (ESTIMATE) (5.17.18).
      SESSION LOG RETENTION
The certificate's life, as for the PROMPT and
                          its salt (5.4.18, 5.14.5, 5.14.6).
FLEET CELL FLOOR    3 accounts (ESTIMATE) (5.18.17).
These values live in TPS and in the implementation's declared
parameters alike; changing any is a revision of both (7.2.6).
      [D182.1] [D189.1]
7.2.29 TUNING OPTIONS ADDED (D182.1), H-OP's, as starting values under
7.2.20, published in STATUS for PRB to read (5.3.45) and tuned in
SANDBOX TRIALS (5.3.46): SESSION BLOCK CAP 1 block; SESSION TURN
CAP 40 turns (ESTIMATE); RE-ANCHOR on; CONFORMANCE WEIGHTS CP1
      0.5, CP3 0.5, CP2 0 until its scorer exists (5.17.18) (ESTIMATE).
      [D182.1]
7.2.30 THE LANE TABLE, AMENDED (D176.1), by the user's selection of
      2026-09-26: the op STRUCTURE_TEST in LANE 3; the structure-test
job in LANE 5; EOM-0's settlement check inside the PUSH, LANE
      2; the control panel's button a LANE 1 request (5.3.33,
5.3.47). The value lives in TPS and in the implementation's
declared parameters alike (7.2.6). A tuning option added,
      H-OP's, a starting value under 7.2.20: SEATS STRUCTURE_TEST 2
      (ESTIMATE). [D176.1]
7.2.31 DECLARATIONS OUTSIDE D(IS), ADDED (D178.1). On the DECLARATIONS
page, H-DECL's, not declared parameters and not in this artifact:
the MODULE DECLARATIONS of 5.6.16, each MODULE ADD and MODULE
VERSION carrying the digest of an ENVIRONMENT MODULE text, the
first catalogue's four among them (5.22.17); before TPX, recorded
in the foundations record (5.22.18). The texts stand on their
      pages (5.22.12). [D178.1]
7.2.32 THE LANE TABLE, PROPOSED (D178.1 (g)). The op of action=tpx by
which an agent-group account proposes an ENVIRONMENT MODULE
(5.22.13; name VERIFY at build), in LANE 4, with SEATS 2
(ESTIMATE) as H-OP's starting value under 7.2.20. NOT IN FORCE
until the user declares it: selecting D178.1 named the op, not
its lane. Until then TPX serves no such op, and a proposal is
made by a USER on the modules page. [D178.1]

Instruction artifact, machine-optimized text: TPS, section 7.2 Declared parameters. Part of TPS and the TPM hub. Human-only edit (TPS 5.13). TPS 0.1.0 was declared final at revision 4 on 2026-09-22, a version declaration recorded in the foundations record; the chain begins at TPX's first landing (TPS 5.6.7). TPS 0.1.1, which changed only the status lines, was declared final on 2026-09-26, TPS 0.3.0, revision 6, on 2026-09-28, and TPS 0.4.0, revision 7, on 2026-09-30. This page is revision 8 of the tree, declared final as TPS 0.5.0 by H-DECL on 2026-10-03 (naming TPS_0.5.0.txt by its file digest and its D(TPS)); revision 7 is carried whole, and revision 5, proposed as 0.2.0, stays undeclared. The text below is this section of the TPS artifact at 0.5.0, verbatim; the whole artifact and its file digest are on The Principia Machina/TPS. Human readers: the contents page is the map.

TPS 7.2 DECLARED PARAMETERS
purpose: the declared parameters, ACQUISITION WINDOW through
GRADUATION SPAN; the declarations outside D(IS); the tuning
options as starting values; where a change is made; a value
         proposed and not in force
governs: 7.2 | version: 0.5.0 (proposed) | class: instruction artifact
audience: operator, agent

7.2.1 Declared by the declaring authority: ACQUISITION WINDOW, N and
CANARY RATE on 2026-09-13; 7.2.11-7.2.16 on 2026-09-20; the
SEQUENTIAL TEST on 2026-09-21; LOOKBACK PASSES on 2026-09-23; on
2026-09-24 ALERT CHANNEL's secondary, the GRADIENT ARMS replacing
THETA BOUNDS and ROTATION, the CANARY SCHEDULE replacing CANARY
       RATE, N's definition, and 7.2.18-7.2.19; 7.2.21-7.2.24 on
       2026-09-25 by delegation; 7.2.25 on 2026-09-26 by delegation;
       7.2.28 and 7.2.30 on 2026-09-26 by the user's selections D189.1
and D176.1; 7.2.19's CAPTCHA MODULE amended on 2026-09-29 by the
       user's selection D224.1. A fleet default listed here is declared;
the per-user or per-UWC value under it is a TUNING OPTION
       (7.2.20). [I-135] [D109.1] [D111.1] [D116.2] [D117.1] [D118.1]
       [D119.1] [D120.1] [D122.1] [D126.1] [D127.1] [D128.2a] [D170.1]
       [D173.1] [D176.1] [D182.1] [D189.1] [D224.1]
7.2.2 ACQUISITION WINDOW 5 minutes, server time (D18). Consequence: the
agents' polling interval is at most 2.5 minutes, since the window
is not less than twice it (see 5.8.5). [I-132]
7.2.3 N One operation per fail type in the
certification suite in force (CR4), plus one REPRODUCTION
operation in the trial: a definition change, not a value. The
suite as recorded carries six probe types, so the trial is six
probe operations and one reproduction until the suite changes; a
new probe type moves it (see 5.14, 5.13.5). [I-133] [D118.1]
       [D124.1]
7.2.4 CANARY SCHEDULE Replaces CANARY RATE (D117.1). The PROBE rate
by tenure, counted in work blocks landed under the current
       certificate: blocks 1-100, 1 in 5; blocks 101-1000, 1 in 10;
blocks 1001 and later, 1 in 20 by default, with bursts at 1 in
5 or 1 in 10 at even odds, duration U{50..200} blocks, gap
       [I-134] [D117.1] [D120.1]
7.2.5 TMS parameters (STEP CONVENTION, S_MAX, k, N_x, PROMOTION_FLOOR,
IC2_POLICY, STRUCTURE_CHECK, local yardsticks) are per container
and are not declared here, nor is the TPK's D_VARIABLES (see
       2.4.5, 4.4.2, 2.2.6). [I-080] [D92.1] [D98.1] [D176.1] [D177.1]
7.2.6  These values live in TPS. Changing any value is a revision of TPS;
an implementation follows the published value. [I-135] [AUTHORED]
NOTE: the wording of the implementation's own parameter line is
       an O8 item (tps_inventory G-06).
Declared 2026-09-21. Changing it is a revision of TPS.
Counted in passes, not blocks, so
       the rule keeps its meaning at every tier of the CANARY SCHEDULE;
canaries only, a passed parrot no anchor (CR6, 5.14.3, 5.17.15).
       A value below 1 is refused. [D111.1] [D117.1] [D120.1]
7.2.18 THE PARROT DESIGN'S DECLARED VALUES (D118.1-D120.1, D126.1),
       declared 2026-09-24:
       PARROT RATIO k parrots per canary, k : 1; k drawn per
epoch of U{50..100} work blocks from {1/2,
                           1/3, 1/5, 1/7} with weights 0.30 / 0.50 /
0.15 / 0.05; expected parrot share of probes
0.26; consistency parrots inside the share
                           (5.17.13).
PROBE RATE The CANARY SCHEDULE read as the rate of
probes, parrots inside the budget (5.17.12).
RESET RULE 1 in 5 per account, on the reproducer, after
a non-corroboration; ends by state: YELLOW at
the next canary pass, ORANGE after ORANGE
                           PASSES consecutive canary passes (5.17.14).
HOLD ANCHOR Canaries only; LOOKBACK PASSES unchanged.
COMMUNITY PARROTS Fleet default ACCEPT; per UWC a tuning
                           option (5.16.11).
AUDIT TRIGGER Fleet default AUTOMATIC; per UWC, selected at
the new-UWC form and declared in UWC STATE
                           (5.16.11).
GOOD STANDING Certificate current, D(IS) matching, state
                           GREEN, no reset in force, not SUSPENDED;
