Instruction artifact, machine-optimized text: TPS, section 4.1 The audit and its authority. Part of TPS and the TPM hub. Human-only edit (TPS 5.13). TPS 0.1.0 was declared final at revision 4 on 2026-09-22, a version declaration recorded in the foundations record; the chain begins at TPX's first landing (TPS 5.6.7). TPS 0.1.1, which changed only the status lines, was declared final on 2026-09-26. This page is revision 6 of the tree, proposed as version 0.3.0 until H-DECL declares it; revision 5, proposed as 0.2.0, stays undeclared and is carried whole. The text below is this section of the TPS artifact at 0.3.0 (proposed), verbatim; the whole artifact and its file digest are on The Principia Machina/TPS. Human readers: the contents page is the map.
TPS 4.1 THE AUDIT AND ITS AUTHORITY
purpose: the CAC; every record checked against the register and the
master record; subordination to the decision-item rule; an audit
block ends in a decision item; re-audit scope for a successor
governs: 4.1 | version: 0.3.0 (proposed) | class: instruction artifact
audience: operator, agent
4.1.1 The CAC is the congruence and completeness audit the Congruence
Protocol runs on a container (see 1.1). It runs at certification,
before the container's first round of research, and at every
later CAC. [I-027] [I-067] [I-064]
4.1.2 At CAC every record other than the master record is checked
against the register and against the master record (see 3.3.1).
[I-032]
4.1.3 At certification the CAC runs the zone checks as each zone is
entered (T1-T6; the four isomorphism checks; SR9 C1-C5), computes
the four digests, allocates the prefix under the uniqueness check,
and writes the candidate certificate (see 5.5, 2.5). [I-057]
[I-058]
4.1.4 The Congruence Protocol is subordinate to the decision-item rule
(see 6.3). An unresolvable strike or audit outcome is a decision
item and halts the round. [I-013]
4.1.5 An audit block ends in a decision item; the Congruence Protocol
does not disposition on its own authority. [I-013]
4.1.6 An audit is a work block. It opens on equal distance (SR5); when
n_ind(r) reaches N_x (SR6); on a difference of KIND at a test
(4.4.11); on a hold with no eligible reproducer or with a
mismatched reproduction (3.3.12); under AUDIT TRIGGER AUTOMATIC,
when a record gathers DISPUTE COUNT independent, mutually
agreeing non-corroborations (5.9.7); under AUDIT TRIGGER ON
REQUEST, on a request, which a CA-GTP may make against its own
record. The AUDIT TRIGGER is selected per UWC at the new-UWC form
and declared in UWC STATE, fleet default AUTOMATIC (5.16.11). An
ordinary mismatch between a landed result and a reproduction is a
NON-CORROBORATION, logged and PENDING, and opens no audit by
itself (5.9.7). [I-072] [I-073] [B-35] [D111.1] [D119.1]
[D120.1]
4.1.7 The unit of contradiction is the independent reproduction, not
the record (SR6). [B-39]
4.1.8 The CAC ranks no physics result on its own authority; physics
results are ranked by each container's TMS under the strike
skeleton (see 1.4.6, 4.3). [I-010]
4.1.9 A successor's first CAC re-audits the inherited records under
the re-audit scope rule (see 2.1.5, 3.4.7). [C-06]
OWED: the re-audit scope rule for a successor's first CAC, which
may narrow on a yardstick-only successor; kind: convention; C-06.
4.1.10 Completeness certified by CAC is relative to the declared TPK's
DOF inventory (see 2.2.5, 2.3.6). [I-124]
4.1.11 THE BIBLIOGRAPHY AND THE AUDIT (D172.1). No CHECK LINE, NOTICES
LINE or FK-20 finding opens an audit block, and none strikes, holds
or regrades a record: a bibliographic fact decides no physics
record's standing, which is the strike rule's alone, and a FINDINGS
falcon changes no page (5.20.12). H-DECL alone may open an audit
block on the landing that carried an entry the LITERATURE VIEW
lists as NOT FOUND by both FK-20 (AGREED) and the lookup (5.21.20);
a fabrication that audit confirms is an audit finding against the
AGENT in PROPOSED BY (5.14 CR11). [D172.1]
