16 Confidence and backreference (GTP)
Appearance
Instruction-layer specification, machine-optimized text: GTP 0.1.0, section CONFIDENCE AND BACKREFERENCE. Part of GTP and the TPM hub. Implements TPS 0.1.0. PROPOSED and UNDECLARED: no implementation may cite it as normative until its genesis line is landed. Human-only edit (TPS 5.13). The text below is this section of the GTP 0.1.0 artifact, verbatim; the whole artifact and its file fingerprint are on The Principia Machina/GTP. Human readers: the contents page is the map.
CONFIDENCE AND BACKREFERENCE
16.1 Three levels of confidence: VERIFIED, confirmed against a baseline
in the working set; VERIFY, best available and unconfirmed;
VERIFY-HIGH, known to be at risk with the cause named.
16.2 An unflagged claim is VERIFY.
16.3 A value whose derivation is not exhibited MUST NOT be reported as
established.
16.4 Where no addressable anchor exists, a backreference MUST be a
verbatim search key rather than a link.
16.5 A link is used only for a target that resolves. An implementation
MUST NOT fabricate one.
