A container begins as a DRAFT CONTAINER page; a rejected component returns it to its author (5.5.1, 5.5.2). It becomes CERTIFIED when H-DECL lands the certificate (5.5.4). Work alternates between the lock held and released after a push (5.7, 5.10.1). A digest-gate failure halts writes until a human declares RESTORE or FORK (2.5.5, 2.5.7). A change request forks it by COPY-FORWARD into a successor with a new UUID and prefix (5.5.6, 3.4). RETIRED, declared by H-DECL, leaves the pages read-only and the index entry in place (5.6.5, 5.11.6).
